Creativity as a Form of Human Intelligence
Ah, the irony.
Setting aside time, purely for inspired creation, is a crucial component for creative minds and artists alike. Time designated to enjoying the craft, and not focusing on the "have to's" or the "need to's" of creative design.

Working now in a creative field, most of my professional work is being spent writing, capturing imagery, and designing experiences, for brands and communities. For a while, I felt complete creating non-stop, but without any designated boundaries, I quickly overlooked the necessity of freely expressed creativity.

No vision, no deadline, no roadmap. Simple self expression.

It wasn't until recently, when I decided to carve out time to just have fun and #create for the purpose of relaxation and self-expression. I found that creating this time and space, has been an incredible tool for re-energizing my creativity.

There has been a lot of talk recently about boredom, and the positive effects it has on the human mind, both in developmental stages, and adult minds as well. Allowing our mind to wander, explore, and discover, can in fact, ignite new pathways for thought, design, and problem solving.

You can't always force a creative concept, but you can always discover one.

Take a moment. Sign off. Go for a walk. Look around.
Jot a note. Take a photo (or 50).
Express yourself.
It's good for you.
